Register in the Contacts Portal

When a contact registers within the Contacts Portal, they will receive an email with a login code to confirm the registration and gain immediate access to your Contacts Portal environment.

  1. Log in to your Business Dashboard
  2. Go to Marketing and to Emails
  3. Navigate to Automated Emails and click the green Add button in the upper right corner. Then select Send automatically.
  4. You will now enter the email editing flow of the Contacts Portal registration email.
Follow the steps in this flow, each of which is explained below.
  5. Select the category: Registration e-mail and click on next.
  6. Select the template for the registration email

Before drafting the email, you need to create an email template. Read how to do this here. You can also choose to do this while creating the e-mail.

Tip: use the personalization token in the registration mail. This personalization token will be converted into a 5-digit login code when sending out the e-mail, with which the contact can log in directly to your Contacts Portal. This code is unique for each recipient.

  7. Under Information, give the campaign a name (what you see in the Dashboard) and a subject (what the recipient sees in the inbox). Select the subscription type Functional email

The subscription type Functional email is used to authenticate the recipient. For this, your contacts cannot unsubscribe because these emails are necessary for registration and login within the Contacts Portal.

  8. Under the heading Actions you do not need to link anything.
  9. Under Review, view your set functions for the Registration email
  10. Link the email by navigating from the Business Dashboard to Tools (9 dots) and Contacts Portal. Click Edit Portal and navigate to the Registration page. In the right edit screen you can link the registration email

🎉 The registration email is now linked to your Contacts Portal!
