Correcting a loyalty transaction

Learn how to correct a loyalty transaction when a member is still with you, or how to correct it later in the Business Dashboard

It can happen that you have entered an incorrect purchase amount with a customer, resulting in an incorrect number of loyalty points credited. Luckily, you can easily correct this! There are three scenarios for this:

The member is still with me

  1. Open the side-menu in the Piggy Business App and click on Returns
  2. Scan the member's card and enter the amount you overpaid to the customer
  3. Now click on Return and then on Done

The member has already left, and I don't know which contact was involved in the transaction

  1. In the Business Dashboard, go to Loyalty > Transactions
  2. Look at recent transactions, and search for the purchase amount and time associated with the transaction to be corrected
  3. Copy the email address of the contact who made the incorrect transaction
  4. Continue by following steps 1-4 described below

The member has already left, but I know which contact was involved in the transaction

  1. In the Business Dashboard, go to Contacts > Contacts
  2. Search by the contact's email address or card number
  3. Click on the contact's email address
  4. In the upper right corner click Actions. Select Loyalty Scan en fill in Unit valueCredits and, if applicable, Shop, and click on Create  

Important! Do you want to deduct credits via the Business Dashboard? Then simply place a minus sign ( - ) in front of the Unit value and Credits
