Emails can be sent with a button for a digital gift card or points claim, read on to find out exactly how to set these up.
Reward contacts for yet another visit or surprise them with a birthday gift? You can do that by sending them some points or a gift card, for example.
Let's start with the general formatting in your email template:
- Log in to your Business Dashboard
- Go to Marketing and then to Templates
- Select your desired template and start an automated email (for an automated campaign) and a one-time email (for a one-time campaign)
- You are now in the email edit screen. From the right edit screen, drag and drop a button into your template and give it a name
- Upon clicking on the button you just inserted, you will find in the right-hand screen Button > Link, where by default https://google.com is displayed
Tip: Want to have a template ready by default with a gift card/points claim button? Then save the template during the creation of your email or edit the template from Marketing > Templates. Don't forget to save your work in between.
- Go to personalization tokens in the upper left corner
- In the search bar, search for url and choose Gift card url. Copy to your clipboard by clicking on it
- Paste the Gift Card url in the Link bar (where https://google.com is)
- Add at Step 3 the Gift Card to your email and add the value to it
- Click Done
🎉 Your gift card has now been successfully added to your email. Once the recipient clicks the button, a page with QR code will appear as a digital gift card. This can be scanned and redeemed via the Business App.
Follow the steps below to add a point claim:
- Go to personalization tokens in the upper left corner
- In the search bar, search for url and choose Loyalty token url. Copy to your clipboard by clicking on it
- Paste the Loyalty token url in the Link bar (where https://google.com is)
- At Step 3, add Loyalty token to your email, then select the branch and enter the number of points for it
- Click Done
🎉 Your points claim has now been successfully added to your email. Once the recipient clicks the button, a page will appear through which they can claim the points.
Please note that when sending out a test email, the set buttons do not work. If you have followed these steps carefully, you can assume that everything is set correctly.
