Adding a QR code to an email

Learn how to add a (personalized!) QR code directly into your emails

A QR code is a personalized code in the form of a black and white image that can be used for many purposes, including in your email marketing! For example, think of a QR code for gift cards or vouchers, which your recipients can scan directly from the email.

Follow the steps below to add a QR code to your email

  1. Add an Image block to your email, this can be found to the right under the 'Content' tab
  2. Get the link for your QR code:
    1. Via Tags: In 'Tags' (found at the top of the left menu), search for "QR" and click on the QR code you want to place in your email. This will automatically copy it to your clipboard
    2. Via Personalisation: Within "Personalize", find the QR code you want to place. When you click on it, you will see that the link to this QR code is placed directly in the text. Select and copy this link (Control + C on Windows, Command + C on Mac) to your clipboard, and if necessary remove the link from the text
  3. Click on the Image block you added in step 1 and click away the window that opens by clicking on the cross in the upper right corner
  4. Paste the QR code link you just copied into the Source url / Dynamic image field. This can be found at the bottom of the right menu in the settings for this image

Your QR code should now appear!
